WOLO / PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Wolo handles the information collected when you join our early-access waitlist or contact us.

Last updated: 14 September 2026

Wolo is currently in early access. This policy covers the waitlist and website. It does not make clinical decisions or collect patient information.

Who is responsible for your information

Wolo is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. For privacy questions, access requests, corrections, or to withdraw from Wolo updates, contact us at privacy@wolomed.app.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, role, areas of interest, and, where relevant, medical school and year of study or residency specialty. We also keep a record of your consent and the time you joined.

Please do not submit patient information, health records, or other sensitive personal information through the waitlist.

Why we use it

We use this information to manage early access, understand which parts of Wolo to prioritise, contact you about the waitlist and Wolo updates, and protect the form from misuse. We do not sell your personal information or use it for automated clinical or professional decisions.

Our legal basis and your choices

Joining the waitlist is optional. By ticking the consent box, you agree to the use of your details for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent or opt out of marketing updates at any time by emailing us. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before it was withdrawn.

Who may process your information

We use carefully selected service providers to run Wolo, including Supabase for secure waitlist data storage and Vercel for website hosting. When email updates begin, we may use an email delivery provider to send them. These providers process information only to provide services to Wolo and under appropriate safeguards.

International processing

Our service providers may process information in countries outside Ghana. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to use appropriate contractual, technical, and organisational safeguards.

Retention and security

We keep waitlist information only for as long as needed to manage early access and related communications, normally no longer than 12 months after the waitlist closes unless you ask us to keep you informed. We use access controls and reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information, or object to or restrict certain processing. You may also complain to Ghana’s Data Protection Commission. We will respond to requests in line with applicable law.

Cookies and local storage

Wolo does not use advertising or analytics cookies at this stage. We use local storage only to remember your chosen light or dark display theme. This setting stays in your browser and is not used to identify you. If we add analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Wolo develops. We will post the updated version here and change the “Last updated” date.
